Just got off the phone with father-n-law 9 grey ducks, 2 teal, a hooded merganser and 2 pool doos. He said they were still decoying when they left.

you hunting tomorrow? They limited out in the front marsh this morning and said the same thing the birds were decoying at 15-20 yards. Hopefully it's like that in the morning.

The older I get it seems the less hunting I get to do!!!!! I have to stay home tomorrow and pay some critical attention to da boss. I've fished and dove hunted 3 times during the week...no mo play time for me this weekend. My saying this weekend is "whatever you want my pet"......

I just picked up a used RNT acrylic speck call. I definitely need some practice but it sounds pretty good

Micah 11-19-2011 02:39 PM

Well my morning blew like a sack full of queers...

Hunter partner who I was speck hunting with over slept.. no big deal, so I slept in. Get a call at 8 to go tow a bud who ran out of gas.. on way there, the "mini skeg" above my prop, decided it was going to come loose and beat the living sh*t out of my prop.. luckily I was by the park, found a park ranger, tightened the bolt on the little skeg and was in progress to pick up my buds. Towed them in and mission completely.

I'm shootin some birds tomorrow!!!!

When a day starts like that from experience it's best to go home and re group. Put some blue lock tite on the torque tab bolt and it won't back out on you again.

Aka James Meyers custom calls. Very good speck calls. Never used their duck calls

jchief 11-19-2011 03:07 PM

I still got one of James' cut down Olt Predator call and still use it.

DUCKGOGETTER 11-19-2011 03:16 PM
