Fresh Shrimp
Have friends coming from Dallas would like to fry some fresh shrimp
Not bleashed or IQF. Any idea where I could buy some around
Lake Charles.

I've heard fresh gulf shrimp is very expensive right now because its in high demand since lots of the overseas/ Chinese shrimp has been infected by some kind of bacteria ....at least that's what I was told by multiple shrimp wholesalers today when I tried to place a big order to send to Ohio for a 4th of July shrimp boil

That's what my uncle told me too. It's good for the shrimpers, not so much for the consumers. 10/15s were $6.50/lb on GI a couple weeks ago. That's the highest I've seen in a long time

Check Craigslist in your area, sometimes you can get them straight from fisherman.
