fiberglass refinishing project

I want to refinish the shower/tub unit in the guest bath while my wife is in Jamaica this week. She absolutely cannot stand the mess. I talked to a couple guys in St. Tammany Parish this morning, but, they can't come this week. Well, I'm gonna tackle it myself. Any you guys done this? Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

Call Re-bath. They specialize in tubs for the elderly. They have grab handles and benches in them.

Well, I finished preppin' it last night...took seemingly forever. Gonna mask everything and attempt to spray it today.

Ever start something you wish you hadn't? :smokin:

Finished painting the unit yesterday. Turned out remarkably well considerin' I had no idea what I was doin'. I water sanded it today with 1000# sandpaper and, hopefully, I'll be able to find the glaze/polish I need tomorrow so I can buff it. While it is somewhat rewarding to know that I did this myself.....I doubt I'll ever tackle another one. :shaking:
