Reds with No Eye/No Spots

Caught a spotless red last week. Is it rare for one to not have any spots? Also caught one with one eye a couple of weeks ago.

Must be the BP spill.

I caught an eyeless red off Little Florida last year. Looked a little less chewed up in the face than that one.

I had never seen a spotless red until November 2010, then I caught 2 in 2 days on opposite ends of the state. Since then I've seen more and more of them. I wonder if the one eye fish was a "Catch and release" from a bow fisherman.
