That's nice! Did you torch it?

marshrunner757 08-27-2016 04:31 PM

Stained and sanded.

Where did you find that burner setup? Everything i see comes attached with legs and such.

Ordered the burner off Amazon and built the stand. Waiting on regulator and hose to come in now. 3 more to build before Christmas. [emoji4]

Dude that's awesome. It's giving me an idea for the stove I have on my porch. I wanted to build a 16" cabinet to hide the propane tank on one side and a 3' cabinet on the other for work space. This may work better because I can move it around if the wind is messing with my fire.

Do you happen to have the link for the burner I'm looking into getting one possibly. Also did you have to use any kind of heat shield to protect the wood from the burner? I'm thinking about dropping a burner like that into a stainless table and don't know if I'd need to put some kind of heat shield to keep my table from getting hot.

I just got through making one for my back porch. I shielded the wood for mine using hardibacker board. Durock will work also. My burners were from Tejas smokers. The legs are detachable, so I can drop the burners in my island or take it with me to the camp. I'll try to post a pic later

Sportsman DBCIS Double Burner Outdoor Cast Iron Propane Stove https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000N4MXYO..._mHIYxbGR9DPB5
I used sheet metal under and angle iron around edges.

How is your burner sitting in there without the legs on it? Is it attached to the angle iron or just sitting on the sheet metal ?
