Calcasieu River 10-29-18
 

River is still muddy and water high one day and low the next. Really its more stained now than muddy and if rains stay away may be able to get in a few better crappie trips before the cold hits. I fished from 730-1130 from watermelon bay to old town bay and caught around 20. 10 of them on small side so they live to catch another day.Kept 10 and had 5 of the largest crappie ive caught this year. 3 of them were 16". Only caught one to three at each stop except the 10 small ones all came from the bays which was to be expected but I was looking for better water and every now and then I do catch some nice ones mixed in. Will try in a week or so if river improves but Toledo is up next. Sry no pics forgot my phone when I cleaned them
