So what is the deal with showing up the day before. I have a guy from work tell me he shows up the night before and cooks and drinks before falling alseep in either in his truck or the camper in the bed. How true is all this? Sounds like fun! just not sure how it is recepted.

It's true. One guy I work with gets there earlier than that.

Setting the water on fire.....

Top Dawg 02-27-2012 08:24 PM

I wait til it gets too hot to trout fish then go sling a limit of quick bass. And don't see a would out there.

"W" 02-27-2012 08:27 PM

We get there about 9 at night....light the pit drink beer and sleep in sleeping bags behind the truck ..

Big Kahunaz 02-27-2012 08:35 PM

Made opening day one March more than 10 years ago....got there around midnight and took about 30 min to launch...not that bad with a long line ahead of us....was too excited to sleep. Something I've always noticed about opening day on the pool is its always windy as hell.

Nice to see the ramp has come up. Smoked the roof of my truck with my forehead a few years ago after not realizing the back end of my trailer dropped off the ledge. Guy backing out my boat was dying laughing....(I wasn't) ;-)

whats the regs on that place? Is there anywhere you can fish with a motor thats bigger than 25hp? The smallest motor i have is a 35, we just got rid of our twenty five..

PaulMyers 02-27-2012 09:28 PM

40hp max, not 25.
