Lake pontch jack crevelle

Relatively new to inshore fishing down in the south, I really enjoy fishing for larger species hence the reason for Jacks... does anyone know when and where they are prevalent in the lake or surrounding areas? Thanks for any insight

NorthWestern shore of lake borgne north of alligator point used to be loaded with Jack's and bull reds in the summer back when I lived over there. 2006 was the last time I fished it. Prolly still there though.

Normally I love to fish offshore, just want larger fish with light tackle. Don't care about the meat part just the fight.
