came back to the lease this weekend to find teal everywhere. Who would have thought I would limit out twice on the closing weekend then shoot 10 on the last day. Friday hunted with my uncle, buddy and I and limited out on mostly teal. Then saturday I took my brother ( who doesn't hunt at all) and his buddy and again limits of mostly teal with a few grey ducks. Then Sunday took my father in law and two buddies and the teal disappeared mostly, shot some teal a pintail drake 2 gray ducks and a mottled. Not a bad season for Johnson bayou this year considering shot a little over 175 birds on my hunts and on my dogs first year he retrieved about 130 out of 145 ish birds so not bad. Them diving birds sure can fool this dog, but can't imagine this year without Drake. He was worth every minute I have ever spent training him. Here are pics from this weekend. This was Drakes first hunt back after hurting his leg and he was ready.

Nice hunt and pics, Looks like them ducks really get your dog "excited" especially in that third pic. Dat der might even get him an infraction:*****::*****:

this dog is hot for birds what can I say you couldn't ask for a better hunting dog this weekend, he handled hand signals and blinds like a pro and im talking about 75+ yards out on both, not bad considering that on opening weekend he was only picking up what he saw fall and since I've got him trained on the rest. I'm blessed that the dog that was "probably not going to be a good dog" ended up being a great dog when it came to hunting.

Great to see your dog back in "Action" and that you closed out the season with great hunts.
