bluewing 04-06-2011 08:08 PM

Dow Cornering RTV 3145. And yes watch for the bubbles.

aquaholic78 04-06-2011 08:15 PM

bluewing 04-06-2011 08:18 PM

They work great.

Even while under way? I've. Always wondered if the turbulent water messed it up while running

flounder_smacker 04-06-2011 09:44 PM

they work ok under way up till about 15 mph then you start getting air under the hull which screws with them some people get better results with different boats and placement. most common place to mount them is back towards the transom i tried once putting it under the console but in my old skeeter the glass was to thick and i got bad readings. works better where the hull flattens out in the back.

are yall talkin bout through the hull models or are yall mounting standard transducers like screw on back of transom

PUREBAY2200 04-06-2011 10:06 PM

Put it next to the bilge, I never had a problem with mine even at wot 60 mph.

If you Want it for good 2 part epoxy. I usually use clear marine silicone just encased the owner gets another boat and transfers. This will not work in all boats and you just don't stick it anywhere.
