livewell pump driving me crazy
livewell pump quit a couple trips ago. couldn't figger it out. cut lines to the switch and put alligator clips on it straight to battery(with fuse), worked great. middle of trip and i noticed it not working again, so i jiggled all the connections, tapped on motor and cussed. no bueno. let it sit for a couple days and decided to tear it outa there and replace the motor. hooked it up with clips, just to see------works great. WTH? it's and 1100 gph, not cheap and not very old.

i cut the wires and wired direct with alligator clips. wires are only about 2' long and look good. guess if it happens again, i'll replace em all the way. skinned em back to put alligator clips on and they're shiny.

Pull the pump out, I would almost best there is something jammed in the impeller. I had the same issue last time I took mine out. As soon as I took the pump apart an acorn top fell out. I spent hours chasing wires but figured out in minutes by taking the cartridge out.

I did the same exact thing last time. Post back and let us know what happens. Good luck!
