great speck calls!!!!! I've duck hunted many of times in sabine and we used to work harder than anybody else out there i think. We would hunt way in the back where the only way back there was to walk. Hunted a real nice size pond most of the time, but had a spot surrounded by potholes and on clear cold days we would limit out on mallards. |

i dont know if you worked harder than me lol.... my johnson 25 hp would stick and not trim up.... there were many times i had to push that thing 100 yards or soo just to get it into deep enough water to plane. NO DOG. |

I dont know how I missed this thread but I just read the whole thing and I'm PUMPED!!!! I will have to live on your reports for a week till we open in the east zone though:cry:

same place I hunted teal season...near ville platte. the funny thing is Im only a couple of miles from the west zone |

we would park and walk at least 200 yards to where this pond was no way to get there by boat. Carrying decoys, robo ducks, guns, shell bags. And afterwards 18-24 ducks beat that. This is why i feel so blessed to have the place i hunt now. Ask micha no waders you can wear tennie shoes i pull right up to the blind you step out the boat in the blind it's gravy hunting. |
