Sailfish 25 miles out of Cameron

My cousin and his crew landed about a 50lb sail 25 miles off Cameron. They were pitching jigs to triple tail in a rip in some dirty green water. Caught it on a calcutta with 12lb test line. I wouldn't have believed him had I not seen the video.

That is pretty shallow for a billfish.

They are suppose to edit it and put some music to it. I will ask if they are going to post it up on youtube. I am sure they will. It's a pretty long video. Took a while to land it on 12lb test.

Choupique on here caught one last summer in his kayak in Destin within swimming distance of the beach. You do not need deep water at all

Ray 06-22-2010 06:31 AM

Destin has a lot more drop off. The shelf over here goes out 100 miles.
At Destin it is a lot closer and a lot clearer water.
I remember seeing that picture.
