Henderson on foot

Made the trip across the Basin Friday and had no boat or Kayak with me but had my rod and a pair of boots.
What the hell decided to walk the bank and see if I could catch dinner?
Managed 5 keepers and lost a lot as the bite was so lite could hardly tell when they picked up the bait. Lots of Garfish and Choupics along the way.

Man, that's great ! Are they still draining, or starting to let it fill back up ?

The water level is steady coming back up but not sure what the plan is. Public launch is back open now.

Quik trip on the way home

Passed over the Basin again today and stopped for another quik trip on foot. Water had come up a lot since the last trip. Had a few bites but lost a couple due to new braid line breaking at the knot when setting the hook. Still managed to land a enough for dinner. Another fisherman on the bank had a bigger stringer than mine.

Last couple trips jigging finesse worms around concrete structures. Darker colors seem to work best.

The water should be high enough now. The path from the end of the pit to I-10 looked clear.
