honda side by side
Has anyone gotten a pioneer 500 yet? I'm debating which one I want between the 500 and the two 700 models. I will be using it for deer hunting and ranch work so hard core mud riding is not a high priority. The 500 is considerably cheaper and should fit well in the 8ft bed of my truck. But it has no bed, no diff lock (not big priority), and isn't auto. But the 5 speed has a super low 1st gear. Just curious what other people think of the 500 or either of the 700 bikes.

I use side x sides on my farm. The bed comes in handy everyday

If you're debating between the 2, go with the 700. Like the old saying "it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it"
|
After driving them both I'm leaning more to the 700.

The 500 is definitely a neat machine though. Very innovative but they left out some key features to cut costs that I would gladly pay for.

very little ground clearance and needs more power. great lease or farm utv though.

Whats the price vs a Polaris Ranger 800? ive never looked at pricing but i know some ppl with both and the Polaris always out performs.... The honda may outlast the polaris tho.

Just bought a Kawasaki Teryx camo and love it. May want to check them out. Very competitive on the pricing. Main thing that sold me was the warranty.

Don't know what your budget is but I've been very happy with my kubota rtvs

I ended up going with the honda 700 2 seater. I've always like the quality of honda even though they get out performed by just about everything else speed and power wise. I also wanted to stay away from a belt trans. Not that a belt is all bad but it is a wear item. My best friend had a terex 750 and besides a couple very minor issues it was a very good machine for the power it had with reasonable price. My future father in law has a kubota diesel that I love but it is a little too slow for what I want and a couple grand more than the honda. The big polaris was also a few grand more than the honda and even though I know many people who have polaris bikes that are very dependable they still have a reputation like harley davidson that no matter how much they they improve people still think of the problems from years ago.
