Waders

Thinking about doing some wade fishing. Some of the spots I have been eyeballing via google earth are back off a few remote channels, in some of the marshes.

With that said I have 2 questions.

1. what are a good pair of waders?

2. Those of you that do a lot of wading, are you packing heat? for gators? a few of the back marshes I have been able to get my boat in I have seen more then a few gators.

Simms if you don't mind the price. Orvis makes a really good pair for a cheaper option.

I use cabelas dryplus stocking foot waders. They are like$150. Be Careful where you jump out not all bottom is hard especially in the marsh

I'm starting to rethink wade fishing in the marshes off the back channels. Would be easy to lose self-awareness when fishing alone...........and with gators

Found some Simms on sale last year. They have been the best for me so far.
