Boat Radio

The compact radios are great if you get a good one, the Planet Audio is a terrible radio and I wouldn't expect it to sound good or last long. Spend a little extra money for a better quality unit.

Most of them have 4 channels with >60w each channel, so they can push your standard 3 channel speaker with no additional amp required (the one pictured has 4x60w).

I fill the gaps between useful posts with BS!

Crutchfield.com is an excellent resource and place to order, service is next to none too.

I have that one and like it alot. I bought the kit from Redmonds thet had the radio and speakers.

i added some cheap tweeters from autozone and a bluetooth adapter from bestbuy. I can rock the house!

I will upgrade the tweeters, i just put them on to hear better when I am running and they work great.

I just use Pandora or I Heart Radio with a Bluetooth speaker.

Instead of having a radio this is what I use on my boat, install a Fusion amp to any speaker and buy 3.5mm jack and hook to your smart phone..no need to have radio anymore.

and this cable

not enough music, not enough data, and sometimes i fish areas that have no cell signal, and would have to have my Icrap plugged in all the time cause the battery sucks

I have a jbl prv175, love it bc its relatively small. But i also have 4 wetsounds 6.5 speakers hooked up to a 1000watt amp, but all in all the round radios are nice

Check out drytunes

the jensen also can play music from a USB drive. if you have your tunes downloaded, you are good to go.
