You are right. This is another benefit working Americans have allowed them to obtain.

CatDaddy 03-21-2010 10:12 PM

I bet the same cawk suckers that voted this bit** in have their own private health care.

SULPHITE 03-21-2010 10:12 PM

"Democratic leaders hailed the healthcare overhaul as historic legislation on par with the enactment of Social Security after the Great Depression and Medicare in the 1960s."

And those are doing just fine right???????????

Yea, both these systems are borrowing fields for the government to spend on other things. This health care will more than likely become another bank loan for them.

LaAngler 03-21-2010 10:15 PM

2ndamendment 03-21-2010 10:16 PM

It all ends up as taxation. We the government want more money from the people.

"... the legislation includes more than $400 billion in higher taxes over a decade, roughly half of it from a new Medicare payroll tax on individuals with incomes over $200,000 and couples over $250,000. A new excise tax on high-cost insurance policies was significantly scaled back in deference to complaints from organized labor.
In addition, the bills cut more than $500 billion from planned payments to hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and other providers that treat Medicare patients. An estimated $200 billion would reduce planned subsidies to insurance companies that offer a private alternative to traditional Medicare."

The insurance industry warned that seniors would face sharply higher premiums as a result, and the Congressional Budget Office said many would return to traditional Medicare as a result.

I have heard small pieces of this health care plan, read straight from the bill itself, on conservative talk radio. The common denominator was allowing more government control, input, intrusion into our lives.

My gut tells me this will be amended over time as debt deepens.

Ronald Regan would kick Obama's azz right now

2ndamendment 03-21-2010 10:23 PM

This health care bill also allows no working individuals and illegals to have better health care. The working folks will supply this through taxes.
