What is the ballisitcs on a 30-06 sighted in for 100 yards? Well, lets clairfy, if I'm hunting and I have a 30-06 rifle sighted for 100 yards and a deer walks out at 300 yards, how low or high do I hold?

Depends on the size of the bullet.

I shoot a 180 grain corelockt. What kind of drops can I expect or bullet trajectory. I shoot 30.06 browning bar2 safari semi auto. 50mm nikon monarch2. What do u think I can expect.

be a man and shoot with some swag! some wild azz guess! shouldn't have to shoot over 100 yards in the swamp, shoot 2in low at 25 yards, best thing to do is spend the day at a range and shoot at 25,50,100 yards, I do some quess elevation if I shoot anymore than 200 to 300 yards.

Shoot my 7 mag and ya ain't gotta worry bout it. I'll make ya heckuva deal on it!

Thanks guys. |
depends on what load your using. most ammo manufacturers have their own website with all the ballistic data you could want. i use isnipe on my iphone which imo is the best ballistic chart.
|
If you have to question the ability of the gun or ammo then dont take the shot, thats how you get wounded animals
|
Oh I have no question about the gun or the ammo. Its just the loose nut behind the scope that I'm questioning. I am shooting 180gr I think zeroed in for 100 yards.

You shouldnt have bullet drop. Chuck norris kicks the world down to compensate.

nikonspoton.com is awesome

If you have doubts about the rifle, use that cannon you carry in your quick draw. Should be dead on a 300!
|
yea nikon has an iphone app as well
|
I'd say sight it in for 200. Less compensation at 100 and at 300. My ammo box says 12.3 drop at 300.
