10-28-17 Calcasieu Crappie
 

Got off graveyards this am and really had planned to go home and get some much needed sleep. But I'm right here by all these Crappie I been catching and wanted to see if they would bite with this cold weather. I couldn't get the big ones to bite along main river channel where I been fishing for last week or so I headed for the bays. These were caught in old town bay and Dans bay at several different places. Never have I caught so many little ones! I mean smaller than the smallest brim! But was able to put 17 more keepers in the box. Those will be fried up during tomorrow's games. Cleaned at work and was over halfway done before I remembered to snap a pic. Probably caught 30 today but threw back a lot. Very windy and pretty darn cold this am too!

You have been on them pretty consistently. Nice trips. I haven't been on the water in a couple of weeks, but all your posts are definitely making me want to get out there. You still fishing live shiners?
