In like flynn. I believe there was a "No fishing the weirs" rule in the fine print.

Bass Tournament that day

Capt.B 04-06-2011 08:47 PM

How many teams fished this event last year?? Gotta have a good turn out to be worth it...

mikedatiger 04-06-2011 08:52 PM

They averaged roughly 30 boats last year in what looks like it's 1st year. For @30 boats it paid out @1700 for 1st..

It's a 100% payout tournament.

guess they scared someone with a tiller handled outboard would show all the high priced rigs up so they made it illegal to fish this tournament. Bad when you have to own a 25,000 dollar rig to fish a tournament

You also have to wear a life jacket unlike everyone else:rolleyes:

If you want to fish find a partner with a center console boat....This has been a rule for years! Its for safety bottom line! One hand on a tiller is not 100% full control of a boat!.... Full control is two hands on steering wheel... This is why Tiller Handle boats have to wear lifejackets... simple rules
