That fish in no where close to 6lbs more less 8..... Im sure this dude is a Pilgrim who saw a boat fishing there...and catch a fish...So he grabbed his lucky bait (GULP SHRIMP with POP N CORK) and happened to stick a solid 4-4.5 lb trout....

then he did not have anything to weight it with so he said.....Hey baby....how big does this trout look? She said..Its Huge honey...looks 10bs

Nahh its about 8.5lbs....

5 pounds max that's not a 8 pound trout for sure lol this was a 27" trout

redaddiction 12-29-2011 08:57 PM

He doesn't say in his post its the 8.5lb fish in the picture.

longcast 12-29-2011 09:03 PM

According to samwich you gotta use a 15lb boga. Those weigh different than other bogas. In Texas a 5lb fish will weigh 8. It has something to do with the Sabine river and the moons gravitational pull.

Why would you post a pic of a 5 you caught when you caught an 8.5 that day.......comon man think bout it

Well, i agree its dumb. Only he knows! (he's from Texas)

LPfishnTIM 12-29-2011 09:09 PM

THE Angle of the fingers is wrong its probably a couple inches shorter than that.

Tex Dawg 12-29-2011 09:58 PM

I know that spot & it does produce some nice size trout. It does not look like an 8.5 to me either that is pictured, more like 5.5
