Game Camera
 

I'm in the market for a new game camera. I have Cuddeback and WGInnovations already. I have had two Cuddebacks and they both seem to fizzle out after a year or so. Still work sometimes but have alot of clarity problems at night. The wildgame one is a cheap-o and the flash only works half the time. I am really looking for something that will be reliable and work. If anyone has any suggestions please share your thoughts. I refuse to spend more than $200 on a camera again and it not hold up.

I have a WGInnovations camera and love it. I have the IR 4.0 and it takes great pics both night & day. Had it out all of last season starting in September and never had to change the batteries. If I'd have to get another one I'd definitely get another one of these.

Primos is making a good camera, that'll be my next one, had 2 Cudde's & both crapped out within a year & they won't fix them without paying, one wouldn't work right from the day I bought it

Primos and the small Bushnells have heard good things about. We have been using the Plotwatchers for the last year. They are the best I've seen yet.

I bet the plot watcher cameras are cool. How long do the batteries last in them and do they work at night?

Yeah I have the cheapest one they make and I got what I paid for. Thanks for the suggestion.

We get around 3 months on 8 AA batteries. You use it for day time to get deer patterns. Night time is just to see specific deer that you have on your place. I'm going this weekend to put them up around 4 different bow stands I have set up. Then I will go back two days before the season and check them and see which stand I want hunt opening am and pm based on the patterns they give me. Plot-watcher.com has the originals for only $140 or the pro for $230. At that price I'm going to get a few more.

I had good luck with wildgame for the price. They have good serv also. Just send them back and they send you a new one in the box 10 days later.

Really! I'lll try that. I got one that acts up all the time.

Cabelas has a good sale going on right now. I used to have several of the Moultrie D-50 and they are still going strong after 3 years. Think either basspro or cabelas has them for $50 right now.

I had two of those in the past and they worked great. They just ate through batteries like crazy.

I use rechargeabls which saves you cash in the long run.

I saw a Leupold brand a Academy today that sells for around 280? Should be good with that name.

Just an FYI i bought my cuddeback from cabelas and it quit after one season. I called cabelas to see if their was anytype of warranty with cuddeback. They told me to bring it to the store in gonzales and they would figure something out. I took it up there after they played with it for a while and could not get it to work they told me to get a new one off the shelf and they would send the broken one back to cuddeback. All this was free of charge. I've had that cuddeback for about a year now...

All that said i know some guys that seem to have good luk with the moultrie cameras. I know of three guys that use them and I haven't heard any of them talk about issues...

I had a WG innovations and a Wildview,both never seemed to work rite. The Wildview was the worst of the two . I wouldnt buy either one again . I hear the Moultree 4.0 is a good one for the money .

Cabela's is the only place I buy any big ticket items. If it is Cabela's brand they will warranty that thig forever. Anything else they will take care of you also. I am on my third set of Cabela's Dry Plus wadders and they took a pair back that i hung on a nail and ripped and a pair I broke the buckle my stepping on it. No problem at all. Love that place.

Has anybody tried the primos version of plot watcher or any of the other ones? I see where they are half the price of the plot watchers.
