Man, enjoy is an understatement! We'll probably finish it off this weekend. It'll be the first time I cook it on the pit though, I been searing them in a black iron skillet so I may just do that since I pretty much got that nailed. I'd hate to screw it up lol.

It is easy to cook on the pit. Season it like you normally would and put on the grill. Put some cooking oil on a paper towel and wipe the grill so it won't stick. Cook for about 2 mins a side and take it off.

Thanks man, I was thinking about putting it on aluminum foil w/ a little butter in it. Ever tried it like that?

I had 17 bags w/ 4 tuna steaks per bag, 6 bags w/ 2 mahi mahi steaks per bag, and 4 bags w/ 2 AJ steaks per bag. My wife loves the mahi mahi but I don't get all the hype about it, I've tried it on the pit and in a black iron skillet but wasn't too impressed with either. Still haven't cooked the AJ though.

I'll still be hunting at our lease in Franklinton. This year will I'll be hunting harder than ever since I'm not on call anymore and will be able to get out there every weekend. I'm in the bruiser bowl again, still on the Tine Bandits.

Montauk17 08-10-2011 11:11 AM

It's fun, I had a good time last year even though I didn't do as well as my past few seasons. Hopefully this year I get some better bucks and put up more points.
