I made an early trip this morning to find the fish hungry. The first stop and only stop this morning was by the well heads about mid lake. Found a small set of birds working and fished under them for awhile and after the fifth fish hit the boat the birds went away but the fish were still bitting. Stayed in that one spot and got my limit. No real size to them but it is fresh fish for tonight. The bait of choice today was a 3.5” Bayou Chub Minnow in Cajun Pepper with a Chart Tail. I was using a 1/4 oz yellow mouth lead head. It was a good trip and I was solo this morning and it sure would have been a good day to have a second person because I left them biting.

The water was a little stained and the water temp was running from 67 to 69 degrees. The dew point was 49 degrees and the atmospheric pressure was 1021 mb and rising. The relative humidity was 78%. Hope everybody gets a chance to get out on the water an relax the weather is looking good for the next couple of days so go out and have some fun.
