Heads up

Got a tropical storm out there fellas. TS Debby is lurking out in the gulf, showing it coming this way. Sucks, supposed to be going to New Orleans for a conference Monday. Gonna have to watch this one.

Going towards Texas not LA
.....and long way from new Orleans
We have high pressure keeping us out of the zone

So does Tejas. Hurricane Center is totally unsure about this one.

Yeah...Miami, FL.

"W" 06-23-2012 07:56 PM

we have a real strong high pressure on us so it hitting LA is like a 2% chance .... The only way it would hit LA is if something pushed the high east and it came up the back side of the high and followed it up

Which is real unlikely .....high is weaker on south texas and south Fl so following that line is 98% likely

But its weather so anything can happen

"2% chance"

There's a chance.

Salty 06-24-2012 11:33 AM

Appears that this would be worth more than a "2% chance". Looks like SE Louisiana is gonna get a hurricane.

A tropical storm warning was issued for the Louisiana coast from the Pearl River west to Morgan City, excluding the city of New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain. Residents were warned to expect storm conditions within 36 hours.

Salty 06-24-2012 11:45 AM

As of right now, looks like landfall around Morgan City Thursday morning. I don't think they've got a handle on where this thing will eventually end up.

Bluechip 06-24-2012 11:50 AM

So does that mean we only have a 2% chance???

Looks like Corpus Christi is in the "2%" range now "cents" the models that forecasted a western track forecasted it to turn west 24 hours ago.

Looks like she may need to cut it a little short.
