Cameron Jetties 12/2
Launched out of Hebert's to beat the east bank for some reds. Everything looked good but the fish weren't cooperating except for a few small flounder and a puppy drum.
Decided to head to the south shore. Nothing going on there either. Found a flock of hovering birds on the way. Weren't diving but they were sticking around for something. Gave up after 15-20 minutes of nothing. Hit the Cameron jetties right at about noon. Second cast put the first 20" red in the boat. Steady action till around 1:45 when the tide turned. Jetties saved an otherwise crappy trip. Ended up with a decent mix of reds, black drum, sheepshead, and one obviously lost speck. One red had some damage on both cheeks. Not sure if that's a bacteria thing or maybe a shark grabbed him by the face. Everything was caught on white gulp shrimp/mullet, and fresh shrimp. All on the bottom. No cork bites today! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...332745266e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9293750c55.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fa33ba90fa.jpg Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk |
