Food for thought

Just wanted to throw something out there for all the SC members that may be having trouble fitting into their winter clothes from last year. As one of the only Team Moobs members with moobs I have decided it is time to try and lose some weight. I was thinking it would help me out and maybe some others on here too if we chronicled our loss. I am not sure other than photos and weekly weigh ins how it would go down. I just wanted to toss it out there and see if anyone would want to join in with me on this difficult journey. Maybe Shadman wants to chime in here and throw out some incentives based on percentage of weight loss or something. I am not too worried about that aspect I am just looking for the support of my fellow outdoors people.:work:

I worked with a guy offshore that lost around 40 # just by not eating white bread, rice and potatoe chips. Just thought I would throw that out there.

those are all my food groups. well, except i think sweets have their own slot too.

put it to this way red devil is correct...whites = bad...whole grain wheat is the ticket.Chicken...fish...turkey...low fat red meats

If you want an idea of how to eat right pick up Body for Life. They have real good recipes and teach how to eat.

6 small meals a day is key to keeping your body metabloism up as well...not crap food but healthy food such as carrots, almonds, cheese sticks, low fat yogurt etc. in small servings...

Cardio or a work out routine will double your results as well...

Don't get me wrong I cheat on the weekends...I have too...beer is my friend and there is just too much good stuff to eat in South Louisiana, but during the week I try to stick to eating healthy at work and home...

CatDaddy 11-11-2009 10:44 AM

thats a good idea MH.... I have lost about 20 lbs over the last 4 weeks... I been trying to cut back on things that are fattening, and i eat to much like... switching to brown rice, eating the mayonase made with Olive oil, not drinking pop, just water. And another big thing, is to stop eating at night before I go to bed. ...

SULPHITE 11-11-2009 10:45 AM
