My lab was trained by Jackie and Ed Thibodeaux with Satin Belle Retrievers in Morse. I've been extremely happy with her. They split their time between Morse and MN because it gets to hot to work them during the Summer in South LA. You can contact them at 337-581-5135.

Ed Thibodeaux is your best bet in that area. Good luck

Ducktrickster 07-23-2014 12:14 PM

They're all high.

Dogdoc21 07-23-2014 12:59 PM

I definitely don't think you'll be disappointed!

Price could depend a lot on the word "Finish" here...

Dog Trianers

Everyone high. Seems like going rate is around $500-550/month. I've got one getting trained here around Lafayette.

If Ed can't take her try Robert Authmonte in Lake Arthur.

How'd that work out? They run ribbon dogs so they are frowned upon on here.

I'm not sure what "ribbon" means but they did good on my dog.

Here was a thread knocking HT dogs and the Meche's run HT so some on here may frown on them and your dog. Me personally...why not do both.

I told them when I was looking for a trainer, I didn't want a field trial dog, I wanted a hunting dog. They use real birds and teach hand signals. I don't see why people would frown upon that.

It is because people have a hard time understanding that it requires the same skill to be successful hunting dog or ribbon dog.

Well if you're looking for a trainer to teach your dog 500 yard marks with someone standing by the dummy with a white shirt on, you don't want a hunting dog, you want a field trial dog. If you want a hunting dog, go to Richard and Jan. I know I'm not the only satisfied customer.

Another one missing the point.
