Fly Fishing 101 - Sat, February 8th

The Red Stick Fly Fishers will hold a free "Fly Fishing 101" clinic on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Location is the LDWF Waddill Education Center at 4142 Flannery in Baton Rouge. Time is 8:30am to 2:30pm. The clinic teaches basics of fly fishing such as equipment, casting, leaders and knots, and fly tying.

Cost is FREE. Handouts, coffee, lunch, and refreshments are provided. The club has rods, reels, fly tying vises, and materials available for instruction. However, if you have equipment, it is advised to bring it as it's best to learn on what you own.

Early registration is advised. For more info, please contact Dugan Sabins at 225-766-4060 or Dan Weber at 225-767-2405 or go to www.rsff.org and click on the "Fly Fishing 101" page.
