Reclaimed wood

Hey guys, been absent for a while doing navy things (sweeping and cleaning instead of working on jets) and I'll be home in 9 days. Looking to do a project in the house me and my wife just bought in Gonzales that would involve some reclaimed wood. Want to cut out the letters for "HOME" and have a rustic look to it. I'll post up some pics of the house inside. Don't have any of the outside yet though. Closed on it Feb 5th while I was out to sea and I'll get the first chance to enjoy it weekend after next. Any ideas where I can find some reclaimed wood?

Craigslist. Most of the "reclaimed" wood is rotten 2x4s and what not, but they have some good stuff on there from time to time.

Have you thought about using red cedar? I had this sign made out of red cedar and then I sealed it

That looks pretty sweet. What I'm looking to do is cut out the word home in individual letters as H O M E but have enough room in the O for a picture. Wanting to do maybe 10-16" letters and have it take up roughly 2-4 feet of wall.

Use pallet wood and stain it, you will come out way ahead.
