Boating Safety

This is an example of why you should wear a life jacket and use a kill switch!!! Unbelievable video...the guy was testing a suped up bass boat, he was an employee for a prop shop in mississippi. The crazy starts about 1:25 in the video.

saw that earlier, this guy must have either been drinking or not have had much time behind the wheel of a fast boat.

crossing those wakes on an angle trimmed out was a death wish.

I wear my life vest more out of teaching my kids to wear theirs, is it required that kids take a boaters course???? I mean like being born after this date you have to take it like hunter safety course

SULPHITE 05-13-2009 09:14 PM

SULPHITE 05-14-2009 04:27 PM

No I don't know anyone, I had heard about this from someone...just verified with a search. My little boy is still in the wife's oven, so I have some time before I have to follow this too!!

LittleRob 05-14-2009 04:38 PM

my question is why was he unconscious in the water for 10 minutes?

LittleRob 05-14-2009 05:18 PM

I'm going to buy my oldest son a carrot stick pole, he can't use it yet but dad's can borrow their son's stuff it is completely legal in my book, now my wife that's a different story.

SULPHITE 05-14-2009 05:26 PM

Man that is crazy...I was thinking about buying one tommorrow, checked them out online. Are you buying one for salt or fresh...not sure if they make one that would be good for specs or not??

LittleRob 05-14-2009 05:36 PM

Yeah I just tell my wife it's for them, I think and this is my opinion, they are more for bass fishing, bass have a toough mouth and specks not so much I fish both fresh and salt,I was buying costume pole from a guy in Crowley his pole worked for both, and he doesn't do it any more, so I'm going to try something new, I want a pole that will work for both, softer tip for specks but still strong enough to horse bass out of grass

SULPHITE 05-14-2009 08:45 PM

My thought too

Yeah the only models they offer have a too much backbone for specs, but could make a sweet redfish rod...
