Meeting my parents this weekend probably at bass pro. Need a good place to eat and not that expensive as there is alot of us. Anything close to the interstate?

jpcajun 07-30-2013 09:24 AM

Sammy's in Baton Rouge.... Only a couple miles off of the interstate! Highly recommend!

breambuster 07-30-2013 09:27 AM

Why not just eat at Bass Pro restaurant?

meaux fishing 07-30-2013 09:49 AM

There is a good bit of restaurants off the BPS exit. look north of the interstate too. Maybe somebody more familar with the area will chime in

Ate there last time and it wasnt worth the money

Bass Pro Shop is off of I-12. It's Cabelas that is off of I-10.

My family loves Ninfa's: http://www.ninfaslouisiana.com/ It's probably 15 minutes away from BPS.

FF_T_Warren 07-30-2013 10:14 AM

Yea ninfas is great. What kinda food y'all want

Sightwindow 07-30-2013 10:47 AM

If you're not into terribly fancy, the Jambalaya Shoppe in the strip mall where BPS is terrific!

Now, it's order-at-the-counter, but really good and very reasonable.

x2 on sammy's that is my favorite resaurant in the world ... its cajun restaurant meets LSU hotspot .. the food is great, seafood is their specialty. There is one in BR off if highland which is a ways from BPS, and there is another in Prarieville, which is closer

specknation 07-30-2013 01:46 PM

The only decent place to eat at the BPS exit is Don's Seafood

I live about 1 mile from the one in Pville.....that place is always packed. The food is good but it is your standard eating out place to me. Has all the typical foods but nothing worth driving out of the way far.

my brother in law lives in Dutchtown so when we are there we are just a few miles from it, and we mainly go during crawfish season cause they are better than anyone in LC and the crawfish prices are dirt cheap compared to LC

Zealand st. market is the best restraunt I've been to in B.R. Although I haven't been to a bunch. Mostly because we always stop there when we are hungry in b.r.
