Heads up
Got a tropical storm out there fellas. TS Debby is lurking out in the gulf, showing it coming this way. Sucks, supposed to be going to New Orleans for a conference Monday. Gonna have to watch this one.

.....and long way from new Orleans We have high pressure keeping us out of the zone |

So somewheres between Brownsville and florida.

we have a real strong high pressure on us so it hitting LA is like a 2% chance .... The only way it would hit LA is if something pushed the high east and it came up the back side of the high and followed it up
Which is real unlikely .....high is weaker on south texas and south Fl so following that line is 98% likely But its weather so anything can happen |

"W" said so! :work: :p |

There's a chance. |
Appears that this would be worth more than a "2% chance". Looks like SE Louisiana is gonna get a hurricane.
A tropical storm warning was issued for the Louisiana coast from the Pearl River west to Morgan City, excluding the city of New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain. Residents were warned to expect storm conditions within 36 hours. |
As of right now, looks like landfall around Morgan City Thursday morning. I don't think they've got a handle on where this thing will eventually end up.

So does that mean we only have a 2% chance???

Salty wins AGAIN!!!! ;):) Apparently, W knows less about tropical systems than he does college football............ |

I think it's probably a lil bit clearer now. |
Headed to Orange Beach in the morning. I like the new track they have this thing going. Being stuck in a condo with a 2 and 4 year old for a week would be bad for my stress level.

Sorry were not the welfare side They both made landfall as cat 3 both were cat 5 Rita storm surge was greater than Katrina Only thing was Cnn,fox and NBC loved to hype it up with democrats on roof tops because they were too stupid to leave a soup bowl |
I agree 100 percent with w.

Interesting that you include yourself ("were") among the "smart" people in southwest Louisiana. |
Quote:
O you didn't see that on CNN sorry we |
Katrina would have left little impact on New Orleans had it's surge not stressed the levee system.
Total damage estimates: Rita - $12 billion Katrina - $120 billion + We had sustained winds of 80-90 mph here for 8-9 hours and, like I said, we ain't nowhere near the coast. |
Quote:
Lmao. Do u know why Katrina cost 120billion one word FEMA Do you know how much money was giving out to re located the animals from Zoo to zoo You take out the wasted money just on New Orleans and your less than 10billion Do you really know what it cost us tax payers to relocate the zoo |
