Duck hunting in Bayou Black?
 
Been wanting to try some fishing in Bayou Black area but is this area open to the public to hunt ducks?

Its all leased and privately owned land except for a small portion that is the Mandaley Reserve area that is only hunted by a few people that receive permits. Its not an open wma type area.

Mandalay is per lottery hunt only. Its hunted on Wednesday and Saturday only and if you get the opportunity to make a hunt you should. My brother had the opportunity a 4 times and limited out all 4 times.

I hunt with a buddy of mine off Turtle Bayou and they been shooting limits every hunt since youth weekend this year. I just got in from offshore so I hope the ducks are still thick this coming week.
