power pole mounting
About to pull the trigger on a power pole. Just wondering from those of you that be in the know, which mounting option you liked better? The transom mount,or the additional plate for the motor mount. I would rather not hafta drill holes into the trasom if I didnt have too,but I heard that there is more vibration from the motor mounted poles? Whats yalls thoughts? Tanks.

additional plate for the motor ! If ever u sale ur boat but wanna keep the power pole all ya gotta do is unbolt it ! It would be kinda hard to sale a boat with 4 holes in the transom filled with silicone !

good point!!!! If I did sell it though, I would prolly sell everything with it and get all new
on the new boat. |
I mounted mine to the transom. No problems yet

Mine is on the plate.....which is better? Don't have a clue, I do know that the plate has some flex to it, so it gives some in rough water, which I believe will help in the life of the PP.

I have a Talon on the original Stainless 1/4 in. PP bracket, and although it has some flex it works great, and I feel the flex gives the unit a bit of stress reliefe! JMO
