majek extreme vs haynie?

I've ridden on the haynie's and really like em? Anyone here ridden on a Majek?

Seem to be very similar boats on price & design......Let the debate begin....

Majek extreme 22 vs Haynie Z21
Majek extreme 25 vs Haynie HO 24

LaAngler 01-26-2011 11:36 AM

for fishing cameron area?

Ray 01-26-2011 11:43 AM

There is a Majek dealer in Beaumont.
They should be willing to give a test ride in the Sabine.

cmdrost 01-26-2011 11:43 AM

I know....same people I bought my Frontier from......good people.

Yes this would be for big lake boat.....

Ray 01-26-2011 11:45 AM

Not a lot of difference in the lakes.
See if they would let you test ride.
THey should if you already bought from them.
They know you ain't a tire kicker.

Ray 01-26-2011 11:45 AM

Be sure to test on a choppy water day.

I wonder if haynie still plans to build the 21 lowside?

i haven't driven a majek but from what i've read the majek may be 5 mph faster but not in the slop. the bow entry, deadrise, and pad are different.

Ray 01-26-2011 11:59 AM

Didn't see a 21 Lowside on the website.

Majk..does not support the rough water like a hyanie... From what I was told by a guy who had both...

Majk is faster but not as good of a ride in chop

Chas, if you want a test ride let me know. I have a neighbor 3 houses down with one he might be selling. Warning, it does have a T-Top and has mainly been used to drink beer out of and pull tubes. 225 Evinrude with reported top end of 65 mph with the spoiler deployed on T-TOP.

So, is the warning about the t-top or the possibility of beer consumption?!

Artifishual 01-26-2011 01:13 PM

if your interested in a majek contact Sean Eynon (409)840-4111

Old Dawson Marine, he's a good guy and I'm sure willing to accommodate you with a test ride...

I like the under gunnel rod storage.
Rough water ride is important around here.

Blue boat? I've seen it around. I'd donate that T-top to W so he could draw more attention out on the lake.

The chop part worries me though. Get him to take us on a ride.

I thought we wuz "Boyz", that T-TOP would look smashing on my tunnel with a big light bar.:smokin:

Will ask him today but should not be a problem getting it done.

I never rode in either one but I tell you what I really like the
Haynie. Hoping to get a ride with Nick in his 24 HO soon.

LaAngler 02-01-2011 12:17 AM

I think these transport boats look nice, wonder what the 21 foot vee model costs.
