Calcasieu river (weekly report thread)
 

On this thread i will post reports of the calcasieu river weekly!



well water is pouring out of canals in mornings (low water!) and is puring back into the canals come mid afternoon. its been bad. water is semi-stained, i cant catch fish right now. backwater fishing isnt doing good due to the high water, some spots bream are biting. if you do decide to fish with all this bad weather and water, fish the west fork, the calcasieu is muddy, (the report i just gave is for the west fork.) so try mouths of canals for bass, and try wharfs and cypress knees for bream.

fishing should pick back up soon (especially bream)

30% and 6 miles on wind so it should be ok

You heading to BIG LAKE? OR the River?

launch on the river and do the south

hell i aint caught nuttin but flounder on the north side.its just a feeling i got and have to see for myself
