West La Frogs?

I live on the South end of Toledo Bend and am looking for some suggestions on where to find some frogs. It doesn?t have to be on Toledo just somewhere that is not 6 hours away. Any help is appreciated!

Well any unfrogged area with good banks will be your best bet. However frogging season is closed right now. Opens back up on June 1st

Honestly you gonna be hard pressed for anyone to tell you their frogging spot. Frogging isnt like fishing, once a spot gets hit you’re not gonna be able to go back next week and do as well. Just pick the most secluded place you can find where the water is low and you have nice mud banks. And try to think of a place where no one would go. Also don’t go to an area where the banks are loaded with cypress knees. There will be frogs but you’ll have a real hard time getting close enough to catch any. The main key points is getting to a place that no one else has gone. For example years ago I hit an extension of bayou manchac way up in the heart of Baton Rouge. No one would’ve ever thought of frogging in the middle of the city. But it was perfect. Had some good banks and I pretty much could guarantee no one had frogged it before. It paid off. We did really well and caught some monsters. So just google map some streams and rivers in your area. Try to pick the most secluded stuff that would be a pain to get to and that’s where you gonna have your best luck

I was at a friend's pond last week and I heard some croaking. When I walked up near the pond, I spotted a nice big bullfrog. While watching it, I saw water splashing down the bank a little ways. It was 2 frogs, one was chasing the other trying to mate.

I need to go back there in June.
