Saw some wadefishermen at the ramp and asked what the hell that bait was they had and it was a 'corky' they had a 6.5 lb trout and said they had a 10 last year. But if I wanted to catch a big fish I would put a big ol pogie on and let it ride!

LPfishnTIM 01-16-2011 03:39 PM

corkys are good for $7.99 a lure!

LaAngler 01-16-2011 03:42 PM

the one you have the most confidence in is by far the best.

skeeter300zx 01-16-2011 03:46 PM

Why not throw big swim baits

I have only tried wading the lake once and wasn't very successful. That was salty cajun tourney last year and the weather was awful. Gonna try it a bunch after duck season. I have about $200 in corky's and haven't caught a trout on one yet. Hopefully I change that in the next month or so. Until I catch one on a corky, my big fish bait is a bone or white/chartreuse Super Spook or live bait. :)
