now that looks like a nice rig, price?

A test drive introduces a new level in performance with no bow rise on take-off. We call it “Even Keel.” This first in bay boat
design fills a need to launch in skinny water without
trimming the engine up. It also helps stabilize the
hull while under way.

great looking boat.Looks like it wont take much to get that on step. Like to know what it would do with a 300 hanging on the back.

longsidelandry 10-12-2009 06:26 PM

Man that is one fine boat.

I used to have a Cape Horn 19 back in the day before they were popular in the late 90's. I heard Chris Fabro and the Cape Horn guys went under. Anyway....

My Cape Horn was stout and clean but a light and wet ride. It was fast but couldn't take much rough water. I had a T-top and a 200 and still did 55. Very plain but well made boat. It'll be expensive and look hand made - if they still make 'em in Milton, FL. Panhandlers swear by 'em. I bought mine in 1993 before any of the dealers had 'em. I had trouble selling it in 95 so I brought back to Pensacola and sold it in two weeks.

I like the line, though. Clean topsides and clean rear. I bet it is fast but wet on the lake.

I run a Cape Horn 19 now..............LOVE IT!!! wouldn't trade it for this new one.......BUT wouldn't mind a bit more motor............Mine rides like a dream........is it wet?? May as well throw a bucket of water in your own face before you leave the launch.............Can't have it all..........Right??

catch.and.fillet 10-12-2009 07:24 PM

Is Fabro still making the 19? I heard they only make 24's and longer and that the 16/17/19/21 line fell into third party hands. I liked mine too. But had to sell it when I moved.

Dink 10-12-2009 07:26 PM

They still hand make all their own boats, you can go out there, knock on the door, and take a tour of the joint......I have the "older style" hull..........newer ones are very dry..........They say this bay is dry too, that's the most bow flair I've seen on a boat, besides the Polar Bay

CatDaddy 10-12-2009 10:41 PM
