Man, you have no idea!!! I was in our marsh the other day gar fishing and a flock of about 15 bluewings flew over. Got me pumped even more. Way too early to be migrating birds, I'm sure these been here all summer.

Top Dawg 07-18-2012 07:20 PM

When I went to shoot last weekend I had to break out the calls just to make sure they still worked lol

cmcnabb 07-18-2012 08:10 PM

Yea I'm definitely ready for teal season. Glad to see other people are thinking about it too. Should be the best season on the books, record counts this year :)

Swlatiger 07-18-2012 08:14 PM

We didn't have water last but it's looking good this year!

The marshes should look good now with all the rain we've got the last couple of weeks. Need to make it to gc to check it out

Reefman 07-20-2012 09:12 AM

Chris, I'm thinkin about setting up 30 or so dekes with that sliding weight on heavy mono. Do any of you guys use this method to set up your dekes? Looks real easy to set out and retrieve.

Top Dawg 07-20-2012 09:16 AM

I have all my decoys set up like that. Been havin the same rigs on em for about 10 years now. The easiest way and pick up 30 decoys in 5 minutes. No tangles and you can store them by hangin em on a nail.

bgizzle 07-20-2012 09:18 AM

If your talking about the Texas rig. Yes that's all I do now and I get a big carabiner and just hook em all on it and hang em in the blind or on the mule. Works best for teal I think

yep and it works like a charm

SULPHITE 07-20-2012 09:24 AM

400 lb mono is the shizzzz

meaux fishing 07-20-2012 12:03 PM

Mine are like that too. I hook em all together with one of those cheap carabiners you can get at academy or a gas station. Makes em real east to transport, put em out , and pick em up

Yep, did that last year. Egg weights, Crimps, and weedeater string. Way cheaper than $34/dozen prerigged.

SULPHITE 07-20-2012 01:10 PM

I like having a rigging party......rig decoys and drink beer.
