Whiskey Bay
 

A buddy of mine said they were catching some sacalait last week so a friend and I decided to make a little trip and give it a try, fished a couple spots under I-10 and caught some small bass and a couple sacalait then moved on to the canal on the right and was able to catch a few in the downed trees with red and chartreuse jigs , ended with 14 . I think we could have done a lil better if the wind would have not been blowing so hard.

They are there but the wind kept blowing us into the cover that we were fishing and once we would bump a branch underwater that was the end of that bite and would move on

I've been hitting it hard the last week and a half and only pick up a few sac's here and there. I would have thought for sure they would be spawning but I guess not yet. Were your fish full of eggs?

not sure if they had eggs, i let my friend have them .
