Cucumbers

Waiting on my cucumbers to start producing got me thinking. Could I build a green house and grow cucumbers year round? Has anyone ever tried this?
I am more curious about the effect of the Global Warming induced harsh winters we had this past year.

I think cukes need insects to pollinate . You mite could take a cotton swab and pollinate them if you are not growing too many . I always wondered how tomato's pollinate in a greenhouse . I read up on it and supposedly tomato's are self pollinator's . Tomato flowers point downward for the most part . So the pollen falls from the stem end to the tip of the flower . I read it on the internet so it got to be true......Anyways I'll be growing a few in a greenhouse next winter and try a couple cukes too....
