Over 50 fish caught! Awesome awesome surf trip!

Roy123 06-08-2017 08:14 PM

Man thats awesome! really with I could have gotten down there while the water was still good.

MEM1971 06-08-2017 09:27 PM

Just after noon I realized the big girls were up on the bank. I wasn't fishing that far out as it was but when I went further down from little Florida past the rock breakers it gets deeper real quick down there and them big girls were eating mullet right up on the bank. Judging all the piles of cleaned fillet trout up and down the beach down there others were tearing them up as well. Maybe too many lol. But why not throw them in the water instead of leaving piles of dead fish, albeit cleaned fish, in the middle of the beach. IDK!

Anyone eat bonefish? Are their size and creep limits on them? I caught my first bonefish today. Landed 3 of them and a half dozen Spanish mackerel. Don't like Spanish mackerel but curious about the bonefish

There are no bonefish here. I'm thinking you may be talking about a Whiting aka channel mullet. Which are good to eat.

What a POS who leaves their fish hulls on the beach. I hope they never return. Ever.

airborneduckhunter 06-09-2017 07:34 AM

Nice box!!!

neverenuf 06-09-2017 09:17 AM

Don't bother making the trip today. The east wind has the water muddy.

MEM1971 06-09-2017 02:46 PM

I was wondering the same thing about the bonefish. When I did the search that is sure wat it looks like I caught though

MEM1971 06-09-2017 02:51 PM

I hear u neverenuf. I do not think them guys were playing by the same set of rules. Several were fishing while another would go around and take there fish off the stringers and go clean them up. 10 more yds and the piles could of been in the water. Of course they may have drawn unwanted attention in the surf. Watever I truly believe in Karma and they will get theirs

neverenuf 06-09-2017 09:56 PM

Was that the Mexican bunch that was down there?

MEM1971 06-10-2017 12:12 AM

I'm not sure. Only talked to one of them right before the other guy came and picked up his fish the 2nd time. I stayed in the water all day! Now I'm babying a cut on my foot which would normally be nothing but that bacteria is nothing to play with. Ill shoot u my number via pm and talk more if u like. I'm curious which place is yours out there. I would love to retire out there! If the water stayed pretty that's the only fishing id do!!!

It weighed 7lb 10 oz 28" https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7bdd3cdb42.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0318e58bb0.jpghere is the 26 incher next to some smaller ones. The guy holding the big fish don't need arm stretch or photo shop he was runner up twice so far in the STAR he has plenty 9 and 10# on his wall.
The smaller ones are probably closer to the weight you guessed.
