$20 Million to Short Stop Ducks
 

Read 'em and weep. The federal government has authorized 20 mil to purposefully shortstop ducks coming to Louisiana so that they don't get oil soaked due to the BP spill. Oh brother, what a crock! Just one more misuse of our tax dollars. :pissed:

dont they know them ducks go everywhere not just on the coast... what about our basin and rice fields... my bet is that they wont do anything and itll be business as usual as far as duck season is concerned.. remember its the govt ya gotta watch em

Yep, and DU gets 2.5 mil to flood rice fields in Louisiana and Texas. Write a grant request to have DU buy the fuel to flood your rice field this year.

Grant request are the biggest waste of money and very few people really understand them. I have several clients that get major bucks from the Federal gov't with grant request. It is an American Cottage industry and those that do it well are making top $$.

D U is moving to the left and getting into bed with the "Global Warming"
crowd. I believe they see it as a way to remain relevent in the current political climate. This short stopping plan will work about like a "Screen Door" on a submarine. Their biologists have been saying for years that you can't short stop ducks and now the Big Wigs are onboard with this stupid plan??:rolleyes:

ducks have been shortstopped for years now...a combination of an increase in ethanol production (corn), farmers paid to leave stubble/grain, manipulating natural frozen ponds, lakes, has definatly had an affect on migration patterns.

People up north figured out they can make some cash from duck hunting...

I agree with you, Raymond and the Biologists agree with us too, but $20 mil of our tax dollars will be wasted trying to shortstop some ducks, even Du is jumping on board. Oh well, nothing we can do about it now.
