Damn

Hate to see that

FF_T_Warren 12-05-2017 06:40 PM

Dang. I was just wondering what happened to him on here. He used to catch some mules but haven’t seen a report in quite some time

duckman1911 12-05-2017 07:39 PM

That'll sting the pocket book.

mriguy 12-05-2017 10:46 PM

Dang!

Probably saved someone some grief. Deer that close to the road could have ran out into the road and caused an accident.

Are there deer crossing signs there? Needs to be, if there isnt

Lol... deer decoys are pretty easy to avoid

Well thats just a load of conrbread right there. If it was a decoy, that's entrapment.

I doubt he would be driving down the road with a rifle in his truck looking for deer at night. Surely he saw the deer out there, then went home and grabbed his rifle.

What???? Why encourage more deer to cross the road by adding Deer X-ing signs...sheesh! Bad enough problem already. I agree that he likely saved someone from a deer vs. MV accident.

Smalls 12-06-2017 10:03 AM

Read that he posted on the Louisiana Bowhunter's facebook page to point out that they left out that it was a decoy.

I guess if it was a real deer it would be alright? [emoji848]

****, I feel bad for the decoy. Damn thing was just minding it's own business and got caught up in all this ****. Used for bait.

Or Jiffy

Decoy lives matter !!

jpeff31787 12-06-2017 12:38 PM

damn.... why do that?! The dude obviously is a decent outdoorsman with the way he catches giant trout, and he seemed to do well hunting. That is just an idiotic move and I think he deserves every last fine and some days in jail. I think anyone who poaches in anyway deserves max penalty.

He's going to lose his livelihood (charter captain) for a few years too. Bad mistake.

goldenrod 12-06-2017 12:59 PM

Heard it was a plastic reindeer someone had set up as a Christmas decoration.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Dude is always in trouble if its not stuffing trout full of bait/corn bread mix ... lying to try and win a boat from STAR tourney ... shooting bambi at night ...whats next?

bjhooper82 12-06-2017 01:17 PM

That’s just crazy! Deer meat doesn’t taste good enough to take that kind of risk in my opinion.

I'm bettin it has more to do with head gear than it does the meat. Total shot in the dark though.

duckman1911 12-06-2017 02:40 PM

Of all the deer I have seen while driving only a few have stayed long enough for a person to even attempt a shot. Even those would likely bolt as soon as the truck stopped. If it's stationary long enough to stop, grap a rifle and get off a shot you should be thinking something ain't right.

Hell I don't know...I had a doe run into the woods off a pipeline at 30 yards, and walk back out at 60 yards and go back to feeding like my truck wasn't even there. On a WMA at that.

But I do tend to agree with you. I'd be wary of a deer just chilling out like that.

I tried to give this guy the benefit of the doubt with all the other allegations but there seems to be too much shady stuff going on around this guy. There is no way an honest sportsman would have this many problems to deal with.
