Burnt-Out Bridge launch closure
 

I saw a sign stating the BOB launch would be closed on 2/07/17.
I wonder if it is because they are going to concrete the launch??

Or even better: concrete the launch and widen so two boats could launch at once??
Hopefully they're not just shutting it down completely....

Closed for repairs. Not sure if they will make it bigger or not. Should be nice when they are finished

Last I heard they are going to sheet pile and concrete the launch. Not sure about parking area.

it was only closed for a day or so. I spoke with the Police Jury guy in charge of all the boat launches and it was only closed for a brief repair. It is my understanding that they put asphalt over the rocks as the place where the rocks and road met was washing out and trucks were getting stuck. He did tell me that there is a major project in the works where the entire launch will be redesigned and built. No time frame yet but sooner than later.
