I know every year around here at a certain time we gets lots of dead pogies. They pile up on the beach ans iunlets and it is so bad it burns your lungs and eyes.

From Shrimp trawls and natural cause...this happens all over the Gulf at certain time of the year...just walk the beaches when this happens...

Last year we had rafts of dead pogy floating by....

Last year on Martin beach surf fishing there was so much bait washed up on the beach that the tires on your truck would tear them up and sling the "moosh" all over the undercarriage of your truck. Had a few buddies who's truck stunk like rotten pogies for weeks!
