Went to fill my boat up today and when I took the gas cap off I realized that one of the screws that holds the chain on fell in the tank! What do I do? Will it hurt any thing?

It wont hurt anything. The fuel pickup is off the bottom and not enough suction anyway.

As long as you have an inline fuel filter of some sort you'll be good, when you replace it just put a lil loctite on it...

I'm not sure if it has one or not. I know nothing mechanical about boats. All I know is to put oil in, gas in, charge the batteries, how to drive one, and I bring it in once a year for service.

Well like southshore said, chances of it getting in the line would be slim because of the pick up and the motor for sure has the filter bowl befor the pump...so no problems..

Sea-Trac Offshore 05-29-2010 04:19 PM

Even if it made it up the pickup, through the lines, through the fittings, then fuel pump, then into the carb, then through the carb jets it would an act of God. You have as much chance of that happening as the oil leak stopping today

haha...YEA YOU RIGHT!!!!
